Perovskia is a deciduous, undersized shrub, 1 m high, with gray-green leaves with a jagged edge. In late summer, it blooms with lavender-blue flowers. The length of the inflorescences is up to 30cm. The leaves, when rubbed, smell aromatic, recalling the sage smell.
The plant looks like lavender, but the Perovskiy bush is taller, blooms later and its inflorescences are longer and friable. The shrub is very decorative when it grows. In the spring in April, old shoots are cut at a height of 10-15 cm from the ground. It blooms on young shoots in August-September, when the lavender has already faded. Any well-drained soil in a sunny area is suitable.
